David Mutuku Kimuyu leads operations at Dera Pest Solutions, bringing over 25 years of hands-on and managerial experience in pest control and fumigation. He holds a Diploma in Fumigation from the British Pest Control Association (BPCA) — an internationally recognised industry qualification — alongside a B.Sc. from the University of Nairobi.

Before founding leadership at Dera, David spent nearly two decades at Rentokil Initial (K) Ltd — a global leader in pest control — rising from Pest Control Service Technician through Quality Assurance, Sales and Technical Supervision to Fumigation Manager, where he was responsible for compliance and site-safety targets, operational planning, staff management and new business development.

He went on to head the Fumigation Department at Pembe Flour Mills Ltd — overseeing professional fumigation, chemical-usage governance and staff training — and later headed the Pest Control Department at Mwewe Cleaning and Fumigation Services Ltd, managing SLA-based delivery, technician field coaching and business development. At Dera, he leads operations, safety, quality and client relationships with the same discipline.
